Tim Shaffer won another 410 sprint car race.
That in itself wasn’t a big surprise at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 18 during the second night of the Jim Ford Classic. He had won the opening race of the classic the previous night in his Weld Racing wheel equipped sprint car.
Shaffer, who has scored 20 overall victories in 2010, remains unbeaten since claiming the Knoxville Nationals crown, scoring four wins in a row. He moved into a tie for 13th on the series’ all-time win list with Rickey Hood with 34 victories.
“It’s amazing…when you can have a group of people come together like we have here…it’s everybody doing their job and giving me a great car to drive and I’m having a lot of fun doing it,” said Shaffer, “We’re running with confidence…we’ve got a great car and great people behind us.”
