Weld Racing RT-S

Kansas City, U.S.A. September 12, 2011— Saturday September 10th at Putnam Park Raceway in Indiana, Wallace Leyshon, President and CEO of Heidts Hot Rod & Muscle Car Parts, arrived for the Track Guy’s driving experience with Heidts updated 1971 Camaro “Test Mule” equipped with a Heidts independent rear suspension. One of the updates was a set of Weld Racing RT-S wheels. The switch was made to get a light, yet road racing capable wheel on the car for future suspension and brake system upgrades and testing. The RT-S gave Heidts the ability to select a lightweight forged aluminum wheel that could stand up to racing stresses, fit large brake systems, and look great at the same time, while being tough enough for street use. The same weekend at Putnam Park Raceway, Kenny Brown of Kenny Brown Performance revealed a new twin turbo Mustang with the latest Kenny Brown suspension system. During the presentation Kenny explained that Kenny Brown Performance would be using Heidts’ manufacturing capability to build the components in the Kenny Brown suspension systems. The Kenny Brown Mustang was also equipped with Weld Racing RT-S wheels. The RT-S wheels are three-piece forgings, for application flexibility, that are assembled by welding. The centers and the rim shells are manufactured in Kansas City in the Weld Racing factory. In addition to the large array of widths and offsets, there are three mounting pad heights available to fit your mild to wild brake package while maximizing the depth of the outer wheel lip. Primary forging grade aluminum alloys are used to create these and all Weld Racing wheels and this means no recycled scrap is used, as in most cast wheels and others. The difference in quality is obvious from the appearance, the strength, and the durability. Since 1967 Weld Racing built technologically superior wheels in the U.S.A. Today Weld Racing L.L.C. continues the tradition of building Racing and High Performance wheels in the heart of the U.S., using 21st century technology while giving the customer top quality, true craftsmanship, and excellent customer service.
